Command & Conquer The First Decade - Multiplayer Setup Guide

This guide is to get you setup to be able to play the following games from The First Decage package at RTS Universe:

Step 1 - Setup Hamachi

- First you need to install Hamachi.

Step 2 - Add IPX protocal to Hamachi

Goto Start > Control Panel > Network Connections.

Right click on the Hamachi connection and go to Properties. Click Install. Select Protocal. Click Add.

Select NWLink IPX. Click Ok.

It should now be in the list. Click Close.

Step 3 - Add IPX protocal to LAN

You need to do the same as before but for your Local Area Connection.

Once installed and in the list click Close. You may need to do the same for your Wireless connection (if you have one).

Step 4 - Apply Network Patch for C&C & Red Alert 1

You need to apply the network patch to the following games:

Download the thipx32.dll file here.

Put it in your Command & Conquer folder overwriteing the current file. Your install folder will most likely be:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer(tm)

Put it in your Command & Conquer Red Alert folder overwriteing the current file. Your install folder will most likely be:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm)
